300 Trees Planted in Honor of HM Queen Sirikit

300 Trees were planted at Asia-Pacific International University on June 22, 2016 in honor of HM Queen Sirikit’s birthday. Guest of honor, Muak Lek Chief District Officer Ponlawat Thianchaimongkul gave words of dedication and planted one of the trees. The District of Muak Lek contributed 140 trees (Afzelia Cochinchinensis / ต้นมะค่า; Blackwood). The University contributed 160 trees (Pink Shower / กัลปพฤาษ์). Students planted their trees with identification labels, so that in future years they can look back and see how their tree has grown. This type of environmental activity teaches students to care for their environment and community. Events like this honor the Queen as the mother of Thailand, and most of all God, who has entrusted us as stewards of His creation.
