We welcome applications from, and admit, individuals regardless of race, gender, status or religious affiliation. A policy of selective admission is followed, however, based on the applicant’s former scholastic achievement, character recommendations, and the passing of entrance examinations. Admission to, and continuation at, Asia-Pacific International University is dependent on evidence of good character, intellectual competence, support for the philosophy and mission of the University and an expressed willingness to conform to University regulations.
Criteria for Admissions
To qualify for admission to undergraduate degree courses, applicants are expected to have satisfactorily completed secondary high school (i.e. the accumulation of 12 years of schooling), see Admission procedure for more details. An undergraduate degree is required for admissions to masters programs, see Graduate Studies Admission Criteria for more details.

A Bachelor’s degree in Education or Business or related discipline with at least 15 credit points of education courses or 12 credit points of Business courses and having a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (M Ed and MBA programs).
Required Application Materials
Applicants must submit the following documents before their application can be processed:
- Completed and signed application for admission.
- Official transcript indicating the satisfactory completion of Bachelor’s degree or higher from all accredited Colleges and Universities.
- Certified copy of Bachelor’s degree diploma.
- CV and professional working experience in a field related to the area of intended study.
- Two (2) Recommendation letters.
- One recent photograph: 3x4 cm (white background).
- Copy of passport: personal page information (International applicant).
- Copy of citizenship and registration of domicile (Thai applicant).
- English Proficiency Scores
- IELTS with a minimum score of 5.0 or TOEFL score of 500 or above (MBA program)
- IELTS with a minimum score of 5.5 or TOEFL score of 550 or above (M Ed program)
- Payment of non-refundable application: 600 Baht.
Where transcripts, school certificates and medical certificates are not in English, they need to be accompanies by a certified English translation.

Detailed Academic Criteria for Admissions
The academic criteria for admission to degree courses for residents of Thailand are based on the satisfactory completion of secondary school and the achievement of the Matriculation Certificate (M6) from an accredited school with a cumulative grade point average equivalent of at least 2.00 in a four point system.
Member countries of the British Commonwealth:
5 GCE O level (or equivalent) pass with a C or credit grade. One of the passes must be in English, even though the medium of instruction may be otherwise.
Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka:
A 12-year of High School Certificate (secondary school) or 5 GCE O level (or equivalent) passes with a C or credit grade. One of the passes must be in English, even though the medium of instruction may be otherwise.
A satisfactory completion of Senior Middle School or Vocational or Technical school school (i.e. the accumulation of 12 years of schooling). An applicant must present the national entrance examination results or Gaokao.
HKDSE 3 passes in the range of A-C and 2 others with D or E. The aggregate in the 5 subjects may not exceed 19 in the best 5 subjects.
SMA or SMEA or SMK with a minimum total grade of 70 and pass the national exams.
Japan and Korea:
A satisfactory completion of Senior High School or Upper Secondary School (Grade 12).
A satisfactory completion of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) and 5 IGCSE or GCE O level passes with a C or credit grade. One of the passes must be in English, even though the medium of instruction may be otherwise.
Myanmar and the Philippines:
5 or more IGCSE or GCE O level passes with a C or credit grade. One of the passes must be in English, even though the medium of instruction may be otherwise.
Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos:
A satisfactory completion of the 12-year of High School Certificate.
America or countries using the American system:
A satisfactory completion of the Secondary High School with a minimum GPA of 2.00.
A satisfactory completion of German Abitur, Finnish Matriculation Certificate, Italian Maturita, Danish Studentereksamen, French Baccalaureate II, Federal Swiss Maturity Certificate.
The submission of standardized or syndicated examination results such as IGCSE, GCE or GED should be submitted along with evidence of school attendance and the satisfactory completion of the normal required number of years of secondary schooling. A GED examination result will not normally be accepted for admission as a substitute for attending and completing year 11 and 12 of high school.
