I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

“Jesus is the Light of the world,” proclaimed the first speaker of the Festival of Faith, Axworthy Daryl. The message, based on John 8:12, invited the students to receive Jesus’ light in their hearts and, as a result, reflect that light on the path of others.

JESUS, THE DOOR

In the power of the Holy Spirit, Christine Julianna invited everyone to go through “Jesus, the Door.” Jesus is the only one who offers true acceptance and everlasting hope. Going through Him involves becoming a door that welcomes others into God’s family.

I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE

Jesus’ affirmation, “I am the Bread of Life” was deeply looked into by Jeffienus Juas, a junior theology student who challenged the audience to see Christ as the only one capable of taking away the hunger and thirst of the human soul.

JESUS, THE GOOD SHEPHERD

Only those who have a close relationship with “Jesus, the Good Shepherd” will recognize His voice and follow him, said Tamara Mayline. She also invited the students to care for their friends and lead them to the Chief Shepherd, who offers comfort and protection.

JESUS, THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE

Dikee Sherpa affirmed God’s love by sharing her conversion experience and faithfulness to Him. Through her message, it was clear that “Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life” is the only one who can give true meaning to our existence, especially when hardship and trials come our way.

JESUS, THE TRUE VINE

“Jesus, the True Vine” was the topic presented by Jiraporn Sappayabanphot , who encouraged the audience to have a close connection with God, the source of power that enables us to reach our full potential.

JESUS IS THE RESURRECTION & THE LIFE

After explaining the hard-to-grasp concept of resurrection, Loh Zhi Yong, a senior student at the Faculty of Education, directed everyone’s attention to John 11 as the biblical evidence for believing that “Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life.”

JESUS, THE GREAT I AM

“Jesus, the Great I Am” knows the past, controls the present, and holds the future; we have nothing to fear because the God of the universe leads our lives. This was the heart of Frenky Bilu’s message, a senior student from the Faculty of Religious Studies.

JESUS AND THE END TIME

Ben Acosta, a Junior Theology student, invited the audience to see God’s loving character not only in John 3:16 but also in the end-time prophecies of Daniel and Revelation.

JESUS SECOND COMING

In a world where people are confused by false prophets who pretend to be Jesus, we can trust the Bible and learn from it the way in which Christ will come back to rescue those that believe in Him. This was Anusha Kavinda’s message of hope in the last session of the Festival of Faith Week.
