Standing Together During the Thailand-Cambodia Border Situation
Date: July 25, 2025
In light of the recent unrest at the Thailand-Cambodia border, we acknowledge the concern it may cause across our university community. Such developments can understandably lead to feelings of unease or anxiety, particularly for those with personal or cultural ties to the affected regions. In these moments, we are reminded of the importance of compassion, calm, and mutual support.
In times of uncertainty, Asia-Pacific International University remains firmly committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all students, faculty, and staff, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or background. We encourage every member of our community to treat one another with compassion, understanding, and mutual respect. International tensions should never result in personal blame or discrimination.
We understand that some members of our community may feel uneasy during this time. If you need support, please do not hesitate to reach out to our University Counselors, Chaplains and Pastoral Care, Student Administration, Academic Advisors, or any university staff. You are not alone, your well-being is important to us, and we are here for you,
Let us stand united as a university community that values peace, dignity, and the well-being of all. We invite everyone to remain calm, extend kindness, and uphold our shared commitment to harmony as we hope for a peaceful resolution to this situation.
