Program Description
The Mission Faculty of Nursing (MFON) offers a full-time bachelor’s degree in international nursing program. The Office of Higher Education Commission (OHEC) of Thailand and the Thai Nursing Council gave their approval for the new program which will start during the first semester of 2021.
Within the four-year program, our nursing students will learn a balanced aspect of life through wholistic education with the spirit of serving God and others with compassion. They will grow in ethical values; knowledge, research, and innovation; skills in professional nursing and competencies of the 21st century; and caring based on Neuman’s System Model for an individual, a family, and a community with multicultural status. Offered in the program are qualified and competent faculty members, guest lecturers, and specialized practicum sites for each nursing discipline. As an outcome, MFON produces graduates with lifelong learning skills, co-creators, and compassionate active global citizens with professional qualifications under international professional standards to lead and to serve worldwide.

The objective of the Bachelor of Nursing Science Program is to produce graduates with the following competencies:
- Have the knowledge on nursing science and other nursing related sciences and midwifery theory courses and able to apply and practice according to the professional standards appropriately taking into account individuality and cultural diversity within the framework of morality, personal ethics, professional code of ethics, and professional law.
- Able to provide wholistic nursing skills using nursing process with comprehension of life, psychosocial, body function, critical thinking and creative decisions in solving problems for individuals, families, and communities based on the Neuman Systems Model for the promotion of health, prevention and cure of diseases, and the safe restoration of health.
- Skillful in using the English language to communicate with others effectively.
- Able to use digital information technology to search for information and empirical evidence for quality improvement in nursing.
- Able to think analytically and creatively, analyze numerically and statistically in conducting research and innovation for quality improvement in nursing.
- Possess leadership and management skills in collaborating with healthcare team members.
- Conduct oneself in good social manner and morality, showing compassion, a public service mind, concern for environmental preservation, social rule discipline, cultural preservation, an upright citizen responsible for own action, and a good example to others.
- Equipped with lifelong learning and skills in order to live happily and be of value to the society and able to improve oneself and the nursing profession as a member of a professional association.
- Able to work effectively in various situations, beliefs, and cultures with the understanding of social, cultural, politics and economy.
