AIU hosts visitors from Thailand’s oldest university – MCRU
Asia-Pacific International University (AIU) hosted students from Maha Chulalongkorn Rajavidyalaya University (MCRU). This is not to be confused with Chulalongkorn University as MCRU was founded in 1887 by King Chulalongkorn making it the oldest Buddhist university in Thailand. On 5th September 2024, as part of knowledge and cultural exchange AIU hosted student from MCRU and the Faculty of Education was delighted to be able to participate in this program.
During the afternoon program, Dr Mark Vodell from the Graduate program shared with the students about different styles of teaching and learning as well as some ideas on future career preparation.

At MCRU the language of instruction is Thai and so consequently some of our guests required a translation. During the seminar, Dr Vodell was expertly translated by the Faculty Secretary Chadaporn Supapong (Jackie).

Collaboration was a key part of the afternoon program and Dr Vodell demonstrated this practical engagement with a ‘volunteer’ from MCRU.
