Ripple Effect Leadership Camp Leaves Lasting Impression on Education Students
From January 31 to February 2, 2025, students from the Faculty of Education came together for a transformative experience at the Ripple Effect Leadership Camp. Designed to help future educators explore the roots of authentic leadership, the camp focused on personal growth, emotional awareness, and meaningful connection.
Held in a peaceful retreat setting, the camp encouraged participants to reflect on who they are and how their inner values shape the way they lead. Through a mix of interactive workshops, group discussions, and quiet reflection, students developed essential social skills, learned to manage emotional challenges, and found space for spiritual nourishment.
One of the most impactful moments came on the final day, when students were invited to express their leadership journey through painting. With brushes in hand and blank canvases before them, they poured their thoughts and emotions into color and form. Each piece was deeply personal—some abstract, some symbolic, all honest. Though the artworks weren’t displayed publicly, the process itself became a powerful tool for self-discovery.
“It wasn’t about making something perfect,” said one participant. “It was about putting what’s inside of us out there, even if it’s messy or hard to explain.”
Throughout the camp, students formed strong bonds, supported one another, and gained a deeper understanding of what it means to lead with empathy and purpose. The Faculty of Education’s initiative reminded everyone that leadership isn’t just about taking charge—it’s about being grounded, being real, and creating positive ripples in the lives of others.
As the weekend came to a close, participants returned with more than just memories. They carried a renewed sense of confidence, clarity, and commitment to becoming leaders who inspire change from the inside out.
