Mother’s Day Chapel at 9.00 a.m, in the Kiti-Tasanee auditorium was an emotional ceremony. The service started with a Mother’s Day song playing while everyone assembled. Then the audience stood together to sing the Thai Royal Anthem. After Opening Prayer by Pastor Luesak Yangkullawat and Welcoming Remarks by the Student Council president and vice president, a video about H.M. Queen Sirikit played for all to watch. This was followed by a beautiful traditional Thai dance about mothers. A video was then put up, a compilation of students around campus talking about what their mothers meant to them. After that, a surprise video was then shown, a compilation of the mothers of several students speaking to them through video. Many of the students burst into tears seeing their mother on the projector. By the time the special song was performed, many students and faculty were openly crying. The program ended with students honoring the mothers in the audience by pinning flowers to their shirts. The Student Council surprised the audience yet again by offering a free mailing service for the students to mail letters to their mothers.
