Asia-Pacific International University (AIU) has completed four important campus development projects that strengthen student facilities, enhance safety, and support long-term sustainability. These improvements reflect the University’s ongoing commitment to responsible growth and a supportive campus environment for students and the wider community.
Among the completed projects is the construction of new outdoor bleachers located between the food court parking lot and the basketball and volleyball courts. Built to address safety concerns in a previously sloped gathering area, the bleachers provide a secure and organized seating space for sports events and student activities. The project was supported through University funding and contributions from the Class of 2024 alumni.

AIU also recently completed the renovation of one of its basketball and volleyball courts, including structural repairs and full resurfacing. This project was made possible through generous gifts totaling approximately 350,000 Thai Baht from three SAUC alumni. The upgraded court improves safety, usability, and the overall quality of recreational facilities available to students.

Another major improvement is the Laundry Room Renovation Project (AIU Laundromat) located behind Ruth Hall, the women’s residence hall. The renovation included the installation of new high-efficiency washing machines and layout improvements to enhance cleanliness, safety, and convenience. This upgrade significantly improves students’ quality of life while reducing long-term maintenance costs.

In support of sustainability initiatives, the University also completed a Solar Cell Testing Project at the Student Center parking lot. This pilot project allows AIU to evaluate the performance, cost-efficiency, and feasibility of solar energy as a potential long-term solution for reducing electricity expenses.

“These completed projects reflect the University’s commitment to practical development that directly benefits students while planning responsibly for the future,” stated the Physical and Plant Services Department. “Each initiative was designed to improve daily campus life while supporting safety, efficiency, and sustainability.”
Together, these initiatives mark steady progress in Asia-Pacific International University campus development, reinforcing the University’s focus on improving AIU student facilities and fostering a campus environment that supports learning, well-being, and community growth.
