Once again, on November 5, 2023, AIU’s Mission Faculty of Nursing (MFON) orchestrated a successful “Mission Run for Health + Help” on an exciting Sunday morning. In collaboration with AIU’s marketing department and Hope Channel, this event aimed to promote health and was a fundraising initiative for a new building near the IT building.
This semester’s run witnessed enthusiastic participation from AIU and AIMS students, faculty, and residents of Muak Lek, demonstrating a commitment to healthy living and community engagement.
The event started at 5 a.m.; the day commenced with registration and opening remarks from event coordinators. Mrs. Maxine and her science students led an invigorating warm-up before participants began their chosen runs. AIU President and Nursing faculty coordinators delivered impactful opening remarks, followed by a moment of reflection with an opening prayer and the countdown to the run.
Adding to the appeal, the event featured four categories: a 10 km Mini Marathon, a 5 km Fun Run for individuals aged 14 and above, a 5 km Fun Run for kids aged 8-13, and a VIP category. This diverse set of categories contributed to the inclusivity and vibrancy of the event.
Behind the scenes, MFON played a crucial role not only in organizing the run but also in ensuring the well-being of participants. In addition to medals, MFON prepared light meals for all participants, enhancing the overall experience and reflecting their dedication to community health.
