Faculty from the Master’s program in the Faculty of Education host visiting speaker from the Philippines.
The Faculty in the master’s program hosted a Jamovi workshop on the campus of Asia-Pacific International University on 26 November 2024. Visiting speaker Dr Jimmy Kijai from the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIUS) ran a two-session workshop on Jamovi. Jamovi is an open platform statistical software package that can be run from either the desktop or the cloud and is considered one of the ‘third generation’ alternatives to SPSS and SAS.
For quantitative researchers having access to data analysis software is essential and Dr Kijai’s assistance in outlining and demonstrating this program was very much appreciated by those in attendance. The workshop was open to members from all faculties and reports from attendees indicated a high level of gratitude for the opportunity to engage in the PD and also a willingness to have further sessions.
