The music department has officially started using the music lab in the library on the third floor. With the new music lab, teachers can have more students per class and be more efficient with lessons. Group lessons promote students’ sight reading skills, essential musicianship techniques, harmonization, and repertoire. Group lessons also help the students support each other and practice together during their free time.
The music lab prioritizes students enrolled in the AIU music program and the community school music program. However, the music director extends an invitation to anyone who wants to improve their ministry in the church and needs basic music skills. Unregistered students who would like to use the lab can do so with approval but must pay a lab fee.
If you are interested and would like to be a part of the program, you can contact Mr. Aylwin Yonathan via email at aylwin@apiu.edu or Facebook messenger at Alywin Yonathan.
