AIU’s departmental assembly fell on the 31st of August, with students gathering at their respective faculties and departments of study at 9 AM in different locations around the campus.
EIP club members gathered at IT228, including the new students, marking their first departmental assembly in AIU. The religious officers kicked off the event with a few songs of praise, followed by short remarks and an opening prayer.
Dr. Jebamani Anthoney was then introduced as the speaker, with an inspiring devotional titled “Navigating Your Academic Journey”—perfectly tailored for the new students and others seeking improvement in their long-ongoing university lives.
“Growth occurs when we step out of our comfort zone,” Dr. Jebamani advised, emphasizing three crucial points when enhancing your university experience for the better: “Embrace challenges, take advantage of the resources, and nurture relationships.”
Two seniors, Paula Ciku and Enya Belle, then led a short activity of anonymously writing heartwarming words of encouragement on pieces of paper to pass to every member present, a wholesome and creative way to lift everyone’s spirits for the day.
After a few brief announcements, the event closed with a prayer from Dr. Nakhon Kitjaroonchai, sending everyone off to their classes with a newfound determination to face their academic journey ahead.
