Ten participants from Asia-Pacific International University and Adventist International Mission School entered the Ayutthaya Running Super Mini Marathon event, held in Ayutthaya province on Sunday, August 12, 2018. Our students and faculty entered in the 13 km and 5 km races.
Three of our students won medals in the 13 km race categories — Munshya Saini won 3rd in the Men’s Category, and Yolanda Primrosa Nurhan and Arisa Kopor won 2nd and 5th respectively in the Women’s Category.
“It’s really fun and exciting! It’s my first time ever,” mentioned Yolanda when asked about participating in the mini marathon. “I look forward to the one in Khao Yai this December.”

The AIU Running Club initiated the trip and also sponsored the transportation to the race site. Munshya, the Club President, expressed that the group had a great time. “For some, it was their first time [to join a mini marathon], so it was a new experience… I would like to see more students attending these events regularly.”
Munshya also presented the Asia-Pacific’s Intramural Sports T-shirt to the race organizers as a token of appreciation. He shared, “It is my vision that our club can be recognized as a group or a club, nationally. And through this exposure, they may come to know about our university.”
The Running Club is a registered student club. If you are interested to join, please contact Munshya Saini at .
