On Monday, March 4th, 2024, a group of dedicated students and faculty members from the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) embarked on a mission to serve the community by visiting Thairat School, an educational institution located in Muak Lek district. This endeavor was an opportunity to impart knowledge and serve the community.
The primary objective of this academic service initiative was to provide enriching workshops to enhance the learning experiences of Thairat School students. Under esteemed faculty members’ guidance, FIT students conducted three distinct workshops tailored to educate Thairat School students.
Workshops Conducted:
- Creating Websites with HTML & CSS: In the digital age, proficiency in web development is paramount—the workshop on building websites using HTML & CSS equipped students with fundamental skills essential for web design.
- Utilizing Kahoot for Interactive Learning: Interactive learning platforms play a pivotal role in engaging students and fostering a conducive learning environment. Through hands-on experience with Kahoot, the students were introduced to an innovative tool for creating quizzes and facilitating collaborative learning experiences.
- Exploring Creative Applications of ChatGPT: Using the power of artificial intelligence, the workshop on ChatGPT encouraged students to explore creative avenues for utilizing this cutting-edge technology.
Importance of Workshops in Student Learning Journey:
These workshops were invaluable stepping stones in the student’s educational journey, imparting practical skills and fostering a spirit of inquiry and discovery. By delving into diverse aspects of information technology, the participants were equipped with technical prowess and inspired to explore new horizons and embrace technology’s transformative potential in their academic pursuits.
At the end of the workshop sessions, the FIT faculty members generously presented for the Thairat School students, further exemplifying their commitment to nurturing academic excellence, fostering community development, and showing support.
FIT faculty and students departed from Thairat School with hearts filled with gratitude and satisfaction. The opportunity to serve the community in such a meaningful manner reaffirmed their dedication to leveraging knowledge and expertise for the betterment of society.
As they reflect on this memorable experience, the FIT community looks forward to future endeavors to create a brighter and more inclusive future through education and service.
