The first Intramural Games was held on Sunday evening, August 26, 2018 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the football field. It was a warm-up football match where the players came from three different houses. The entire group was then into two groups – Orange Team and Purple Team – just for the occasion. Although it was raining, the spirit of sportsmanship kept the game going.

Loh Zhi Yong, a Student Council officer shared, “It is great to see the football players’ spirit on fire, even though it was drizzling rain. The players don’t feel upset. They kept playing and working together as a team – they enjoy it. That’s what matters.”

One of the supporters, Sonisa Lin commented, “Intramural games are really different from what we used to have from football league which represented their country. This time, the players are from different countries, and they get the opportunity to meet new people and build friendship. Also, they will work together and increase their teamwork skills from the way they communicate.”

Spotted on the field was Ajarn Thirat Somphan who played as a goalkeeper and Mr. Sorawit (Richard) Chaipisit as the lineman. The football match ended with Orange Team winning the game against Purple Team by 3-2.

The opening ceremony of the Intramural Games took place last Sunday evening, September 2, 2018.
