On the evening of Sunday, September 24, 2023, the Asia Pacific International University (AIU) campus came alive with vibrant colors, exotic aromas, and the joyous sounds of cultures from around the world. The Cultural Night Market is an annual event that transforms the AIU campus into a crowd of international diversity, celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures represented in the institution. The Cultural Night Market offers a sensory journey through the rich cultures our diverse student body represents.
Over 30 food stalls were set up at the football field. Different country and ethnic clubs showcased art, crafts, clothing, and food. Entertainment took center stage with mesmerizing performances ranging from traditional dances to modern music, each reflecting the unique cultural heritage of our students. These performances fostered cultural understanding in a way that textbooks cannot.
The Cultural Night Market reminds us that diversity is not a challenge to be overcome but a treasure to be embraced. Although there was a sprinkling of rain during the event, it did not stop us from going around and appreciating the beauty of our differences and the richness of our shared experiences. By God’s grace, the event went smoothly; it was a night that showcased the best of our diverse university and left an unforgettable mark on the hearts and minds of all who attended.
